Terms

These terms apply when you use this website. By creating an account you agree to them. Version: 7 October 2026.

1. Who offers this website

Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Institute of Nanotechnology (INT), research unit of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wenzel. See the Impressum.

2. What the website is for

This is a research experiment. You ask questions about movies. The website checks whether our movie data can answer them, and tells you how hard each question is. The questions help us test how well computers understand everyday questions. Questions our data cannot answer are especially useful to us.

3. Accounts

4. What you may write

5. What others can see

Your questions, their results, and your votes and comments are visible to the other people who have an account. Your display name is shown next to your questions. Your email address is not. You can change or delete your own questions at any time.

6. Rights to your questions

You keep the rights to what you write. You allow KIT to store your questions and results, to show them on this website, and to use them in research and in scientific publications. In publications, questions are used without your name.

7. The results can be wrong

The checks are automatic and use language models. They can make mistakes and the movie data is not complete. Do not rely on a result for important decisions. The website is offered free of charge and may change, stop or be unavailable at times.

8. Liability

KIT is liable without limit for harm caused on purpose or by gross carelessness, for harm to life, body or health, and where the law requires it. In other cases KIT is liable only for breaking an essential duty, and then only for the harm that could normally be expected. Otherwise KIT is not liable.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using the website at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms. What happens to your data is explained in the privacy page.

10. Changes

We may change these terms, for example when the website changes. The new version appears here with a new date. If you keep using the website after a change, the new terms apply to you.

11. Law and place of court

German law applies. This does not remove rights that consumers have under the law of their own country.
